Highlights
We provide child support services to close to one million children and collect over a billion dollars in child support each year.
Purpose
The Child Support Program's purpose is to help children get the financial support they need when it is not received from one or both parents. To accomplish this, we work directly with the families we serve and partner with state and federal agencies and private companies to carry out critical steps in the child support process.
Services
- Locate parents and assets
- Establish paternity
- Establish and modify child support orders
- Monitor and take action to help parents comply with child support orders
- Receive and distribute child support payments
- Educate and assist parents and the public
We cannot assist with visitation or custody. Your local
Clerk of the Court office may be able to provide you with assistance.

The Florida Department of Revenue provides child support services in all but two Florida counties. We partner with the State Attorney's Office for services in Miami-Dade County and the Manatee County Clerk of Court for services in Manatee County.
